OUR CORE BELIEFS

We Believe . . . In the Divine Trinity: There is one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, a unity of three Persons united in a single purpose who are immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing and ever-present. (Gen. 1:1; Matt. 28:19; 1 Cor. 15:28; John 1:1-3)
In Creation: God is Creator of all things and has revealed in Scripture the authentic account of His creative activity. He established the Sabbath as the perpetual memorial of His completed creative work. (Gen. 1:26-28, 2:7; Ps. 8:4-8)
In the Power of Love: God’s love is transforming. We share that love with everyone through deeds of kindness, encouragement, support and community service. (All Scripture)
In Diversity of the Family of God: Since God is the Father of all, then we are all brothers and sisters in His divine family and joint-heirs with Christ, our Brother. We are all equal in our position with God, regardless of race, culture, gender, or background. Therefore, we fellowship together in a spirit of love and acceptance.

In the Great Controversy: All humanity has been embroiled in the great controversy between Christ and Satan regarding the character of God, His law, and His sovereignty over the universe. The controversy ends when the victorious Christ returns to redeem His people and destroys evil once and for all. (Rev. 12, 14, 20, 21, Ezek. 28)
In Christ’s Atonement and the Assurance of Salvation: Christ died to atone for our sins so that all may have salvation and eternal life. Salvation is God’s gift to us; it cannot be earned through works. But its fruitage is obedience to God’s divine will. We celebrate Christ’s atonement through the ordinances of Communion. (Eph. 1-4, John 13:4-17; 1 Cor. 11:23-26)
In Baptism: Through baptism, we publicly confess our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus and testify of our death to sin and of our purpose to walk in newness of life. This sacred rite of baptism is done by immersion in water and is contingent on an affirmation of faith in Jesus. (Mark 1:9, 10; Rom. 6:3-6)
In the Word of God: The Holy Scriptures are the inspired Word of God and the infallible revelation of His divine will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the authoritative revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God’s acts in history (2 Peter 1: 20, 21; 2 Tim. 3: 16,17; Heb. 4:12).
In the Gift of Prophecy: One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is prophecy. This gift is an identifying mark of the remnant church and was manifested in the ministry of Ellen G. White, whose writings are a continuing and authoritative resource for comfort, guidance, instruction and correction. (Acts 2:14-21; Eph. 4:8-11; Heb. 1:1-3; Rev. 12:17; 19:10)
In the Eternal Sabbath: God established the Sabbath when He rested from His creation on the seventh day and declared it holy. It has never been changed by divine authority, and all Christians are called to reverence it through worship, service and rest from secular affairs. (Gen. 2:2,3; Exodus 20:8-11; Luke 23:54-56)
In Stewardship: We acknowledge God’s ownership through faithful service to Him and to each other and by returning tithes and giving offerings for the proclamation of His gospel and support and growth of His Church. (Mal. 3:8-12; 2 Cor. 8; Rom. 15:26, 27)
In Healthful, Practical Living: Because our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, we are to care for them through exercise and rest and by adopting the most healthful diet possible. We abstain from harmful drugs, alcohol and tobacco. We strive for balanced, temperate lives and engage in social activities that are consistent with Christian principles. (Lev. 11, Prov. 23:29-32; John 1:6; Rom 12:1,2; 1 Cor. 3:16, 17; Phil. 4:8)
In the Second Coming of Christ: The Savior will come again to redeem His people and take them to heaven. His glorious coming will be literal, personal, visible worldwide—and soon! (Matt. 24:30; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; 1 Cor. 15; Col. 3:4; 1 Thess. 4)
